In 2007, two of our friends, developers Rob Ticktin of Needham and Peter Albano of Haverhill, submitted a video audition to the producers of TLC's Flip That House. Their project - a redevelopment of a three unit South End property - was selected, and the production team chronicled the project from start to finish.
Rob and Pete asked me to participate in the final scenes as the real estate agent called upon to provide market advice on the finished product. It was an honor to take part in the show, and it was an experience I will never forget.
The show aired in May 2008.
On March 19, 2010, we lost our dear friend, Peter Albano, without warning on a New Hampshire ski slope. Pete was doing what he loved, but his loss has affected us all very deeply. He was a wonderful human being, a devoted husband and a loving father to his five children. Mat and I miss him terribly, and we hope that this video will be something that all of us can reflect back on whenever we feel the need to see his big smile.
